Sold to investors

The foundation of Beverly Hills Country Club was laid long ago in 1926. Elmer Griffin, who happens to be the uncle of Merv Griffin, the celebrity entrepreneur, is the man behind the establishment of Beverly Hill Country Club. It became popular for people from entertainment and sports to spend their quality time here. But now it has been sold to investors who want modifications to it. A Chicago-based investment firm, Singerman Real Estate along with Meriwether Cos, bought the 4-acre property near the Santa Monica Freeway at the south of Century City.

Even though there was no disclosure to sale terms, still, the new owners committed to pouring $10 million on the dated complex for its makeover. The actual location of The BHCC is at 3084 Motor Ave in Los Angeles. The property was owned in 1985 by a corporate solution law firm named L.A. Partners. Gene Axelrod is the head of it.

Improvements by new owners

BHCC comprises a 34,000-square-foot clubhouse along with added features including a gym, dining room, meeting room, ten-lighted tennis courts. It also has a Junior Olympic-size swimming pool. According to new owners, there would be a change in the big projects that would include a pool area, clubhouse, and widespread scenery.

BHCC to remain at the top spot in Southern California

According to Graham Culp, the Managing Partner at Meriwether Cos, a real estate and investment firm, Beverly Hills Country Club has been providing its services to the local community for ninety years. It is also very exciting for this company to ensure that it does not lose its charm in being the top spot for families living in Southern California in meeting and mingling for the coming decades.

The major ownership of BHCC lies under Singerman Real Estate. Whereas the onus of daily basis operations is on Kris Thabit, the L.A based real estate investor and Meriwether Cos. There are around 1,500 members in the Southern Californian club (BHCC). The range of monthly dues begins from $175 to $350. There would be no increase in dues until the final renovation work gets over, say owners.
