More about the movie

Deadpool was a massive hit. With a budget of just $58 million, the movie went on to earn $782.6 million at the box office. Before Reynold started working on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he was signed for Deadpool. In 2010, the makers of the movie approached Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, for its spin off.  These writers along with Reynold worked together on his character. After Wolverine, the makers had received a lot of criticism for how the character wasn’t real and there was some sort of dishonesty that the audience felt. Therefore, the makers did not want to take any chance. In 2011, they hired Tim Miller. Deadpool was Tim’s debut venture. During the hiring process, footage was leaked by the makers. The footage received an amazing response from the audience. This led to Fox (distributor) saying a yes to the makers of Deadpool.

Story and Plot

The story revolves around Wade Wilson who was discharged from his job in special forces as a mercenary. He comes across Vanessa, who is a prostitute by profession. He falls for her and the two start dating each other. He soon proposes her for marriage, to which she says yes.

Everything goes smooth, until one day he finds out that he is suffering from cancer. He does not want the love of his life to be scarred for life by his death, and therefore he leaves her. A stranger approaches him and takes him to Ajax and Angel Dust. They inject him with a potion that activates certain genes in his body and mutates them. When Wilson finds out that Francis is the real name of Ajax, he makes fun of him. Ajax gets offended by this and abandons him in a hyperbaric chamber. This leads to some severe changes and mutations in Wilson’s body, that combat cancer but leave him scarred and disfigured for life.

Wilson runs out of the laboratory, begins hunting down Ajax to kill him but later is informed that his scars and disfigured body can be cured. Ajax finds out about the entire story and tries to kill Wilson. After escaping, Wilson goes in search of Vanessa, but fears to tell her that he isn’t dead and shows her his face. He named himself Deadpool, after his friend found him in “Deadpool” and saved his life.

Cast of the movie

The lead character of Wade Wilson or Deadpool has been played by Ryan Reynolds. Morena Baccarin played the character of Wilson’s live interest Vanessa. Ed Skrein played the character of Francis Freeman AKA Ajax. T.J. Miller featured as Weasel and Gina Carano featured as Angel Dust who was artificially mutated and belonged to the gang that caused mutation in Wilson. Release date of Deadpool 3

The makers of the movie have informed that they are planning on making the third part of the movie that shall primarily focus on the story of the X-Force. Talking about the same, one of its writers, Rhette Reese asserted, “So I think we’ll be able to take two paths. [X-Force] is where we’re launching something bigger, but then [Deadpool 3 is] where we’re contracting and staying personal and small.”

It has also been informed that the third part of Deadpool shall be developed at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige, who is a part of the movie informed that, “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script [being penned by screenwriting duo Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux] right now.” He also said, “Deadpool 3 will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”
