5 Must-Have Garden Accessories for the Great Australian Summer

While the summer in Australia is still a few months away, this is the perfect time to take a close look at your outdoor living space and see what you need to add to your current garden set up.

Here are a few must-have accessories to acquire before summer arrives.

  1. State-of-the-art BBQ – If we’re talking BBQs, it simply has to be Weber, the best outdoor cookers in the world. Buy one of these and you have a lifetime of great steak grilling ahead of you; Webers are built to last and while they might not be the cheapest BBQ, they definitely are the best! Start with an online search and browse the great selection of BBQs, Google can help you compare prices and you can place your order in time for the summer. Get those prime steaks sizzling and send out those invites for Saturday night; your parties will be remembered for all the right reasons.
  2. Retractable roof – Of course, you want your terraced area to be shaded and if your budget stretches that far, why not order a custom-built retractable roof? Motorised solutions allow effortless adjustment and you can even have weather sensors to automatically move the roof to the optimum position. Talk to a leading Australian supplier of customised retractable roof and find out the cost.
  3. Hanging chairs – Also known as egg chairs, they are really comfortable; you can hang them with chains or you can buy units that come with a frame, which allows you to place them wherever you fancy. A couple of hanging chairs on your terrace would be a welcome addition and they come in a range of colours and styles.
  4. Outdoor kitchen – Aside from your Weber BBQ, you can order stainless steel kitchen cabinets that fit in the space at one side of the deck. Search online for suppliers of outdoor kitchen equipment and browse the many products that can enhance your deck and enable you to entertain and take good care of your guests.
  5. Build a bar – The best patios are ones that have a built-in bar complete with barstools and spirit optics. Create a pub ambience by installing a large flat screen TV to show live sports. You can find ready-made bars online, or you could ask a local joiner to design and build an elegant outdoor bar that blends with the surroundings.  Nothing adds character to an outdoor relaxation area like a bar and your friends and neighbours will certainly appreciate it and visit often.

As we move closer to the Australian spring and summer, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your outdoor living space and we hope the above suggestions help you to create the perfect rest and relaxation area where you can enjoy your downtime.
