Aton Edwards is a former actor and writer, well known for being an activist and the founder of the International Preparedness Network (IPN). Aton appeared several times on the screens, making him a recognized figure in America.

The exact date of birth of Aton is unknown, but it is believed that he was born in 1962. The actor was born in New York, and he grew up in the Bronx, where he attended public schools until completion. When Aton was around ten years old, he witnessed the movie Deliverance, which inspired his survival skills.

Who is Aton Edwards?

Aton Edwards is an American expert who specializes in emergency preparedness. Aton founded IPN, which specialized in teaching people about self-reliance and sustainable living. The organization was formed in 1989, and he acted as the executive director until 2013 when he died.

In his twenties, Aton ventured into comedy, where he called himself Badd Guy. His role as a political stand-up comedian opened opportunities for him, enabling him to venture into entertainment more. In the 1985 reopening of Apollo Theater in Harlem, Aton performed on the Showtime. During NBC’s special Motown’s 50th anniversary, he won the amateur night competition.

Aton Edwards’s Career

Aton was in the entertainment industry in his twenties. But, as time went by, he got interested in disaster preparedness, which encouraged him, alongside his friends, to start an organization called IPN.

The organization was formed in 1989, and it aimed at training people on self-reliance and disaster preparedness. In the early 21st century, the organization became crucial in training civilians how to prepare for, respond to and recover from various disasters like economic, technological, environmental, civil, and cyber.

The group’s main aim is the development of survival strategies for catastrophic emergencies, which it has done well. Moreover, the group combined all activities in outdoor survival, sustainable living, personal health and self-defence.

When Aton was doing stand-up comedy, he used his show to highlight his views about preparedness for disasters. His views made it possible for him to be consulted on TV programs related to preparedness.

In the National Geographic special, 6 Degrees, Aton was featured. Again, in 2010, he hosted the Discovery Channel documentary called Track Me If You Can. His views were being recognized more, making it possible for Fox News to interview him.

Despite the Expert dying in 2013, he has been featured in MSNBC news and Today Show as a contributor on disaster preparedness, self-reliance and security. In September 2011, Discover Channel’s special How Will The World End featured Aton Edwards, starring Samuel L. Jackson.

Does Aton Edwards Have Children?

Although Aton was a recognized expert, it seems that he never had children. He was once married to Kim Coles, an actress and comedian, but the marriage did not bring forth children. Later, the couple separated in 1995, and Aton entered into a common-law marriage with Ginger Davis.

There have been no records regarding Aton’s children, although he married twice in his entire life.

Aton Edwards is estimated to have a net worth of $1.2 million, and he died 0n January 01, 2013.
