Rake it Up, put a date on it, and Down in the DM are some of the popular songs by Yo Gotti. He has been in the music industry professionally since 1996, but at that time he was known as Lil Yo. As Lil Yo, he dropped an album entitled Youngsta’s on a come up. Yo Gotti went on to release more songs.

Some songs include;

  • I know
  • Act Right
  • Respect that you Earn

And many other songs. From that time, Yo Gotti has produced thirteen studio albums, twenty-five mixtapes, and two compilation albums.

Mims’s early life was not easy. Federal agents detained his mum and aunties while in third grade. After that, they were imprisoned for 10 to 15 years. During that period, Mario started hanging out with children older than him either by five or six years.

His interaction with other children earned him the name Yo, which was a short form of the name Mario. The name Gotti was from a famous New York crime boss John Gotti. Mario saw himself of high ability than his peers. Hence, the name Gotti.
