We all experience tiredness and fatigue after a busy day, and a good night’s sleep is quite enough to reduce the same. Still, if you see a constant increase in fatigue or are recovering from any illness like stroke or cancer, you might get tired without a lot of effort; hence you will have to take the right measures to boost your energy levels.

Are you feeling exhausted after everyday work and routine and want to boost your energy levels? You have landed at the right place as we will be discussing the reasons for fatigue and providing a few tips on how you can improve your daily energy levels.

Reasons for fatigue and excessive tiredness:

As mentioned above, we all have to deal with fatigue, but at times tiredness can go beyond levels and is also an important symptom of an underlying disease. Therefore, here are a few reasons for fatigue.

1: Sleep apnoea:

Sleep apnoea is a condition where your throat narrows down when you are sleeping, creating a barrier when you are breathing. You start snoring as the blood oxygen level dips down, and you feel difficulty breathing and tired even after having a sound sleep. Most middle-aged men have to deal with sleep apnoea, and it is advised to quit smoking and alcohol as it can even worsen

2: Anemia:

The most common reason for tiredness and fatigue in humans is iron deficiency, also known as anemia. Women who experience heavy periods or are pregnant are prone to anemia. Moreover, older men and women are also susceptible to anemia by consuming NSAID or Non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

If you have anemia, your muscles will feel tired and heavy, and even small tasks would make you heavily tired. Vitamin B12 deficiency can also lead to increased fatigue, and it is most commonly found in men and women between 30 and 60

3: Coeliac disease:

Coeliac disease is a life-long disease where the immune system reacts to gluten, a protein abundantly found in wheat, rye, pasta, and cereals. According to recent research, one percent of the world’s population suffers from coeliac disease. Apart from fatigue, a person suffering from coeliac disease will also experience bloating, anemia, and weight loss.

Apart from the reasons mentioned above, people suffering from diabetes, anxiety, stress, and not following the right diet can also lead to fatigue. So, now you know the reasons for fatigue, here are a few ways to boost your energy levels.

Best tips to boost your energy levels:

1: Exercise:

It might feel counter-attacking but doing simple exercises can increase energy and oxygen levels in your cells. Moreover, exercising also releases dopamine which helps in building a positive mood

2: Quit smoking:

If you have a habit of smoking, you must immediately stop it because the nicotine in tobacco can increase the risk of health diseases, increase your blood pressure, and affect your sleep cycle. You can improve your sleep cycle, which will boost your energy levels.

3: Stay hydrated:

The most important health drink for the human body is water; hence you must consume water or any fresh fruit juice regularly to keep yourself hydrated and active.

4: Use caffeine:

According to research, caffeine helps improve focus; hence you can have a cup of coffee when you feel exhausted but make sure that you don’t get addicted to caffeine because too much of anything is good for nothing

Apart from the reasons mentioned above for fatigue and energy-boosting tips, if you still have any doubts, it is highly recommended to visit your general physician, who will diagnose your body and provide the best treatment.
