That evening, while out celebrating with her dearest companion, Simon Lewis, Clary sees a gathering of dubious individuals that no other person can see. She follows them into the back room of the club, seeing a battle.
She meddles, snatching a sharp-edged blade. Accepting she has inadvertently committed a criminal offense such as murder, Clary is upset and promptly surges home. Her mom, Jocelyn Fray, then, at that point, uncovers undetectable inkings on her skin, which resembles the one from people at the gathering at the club. Realizing she will be attacked as well, Jocelyn fears for Clary’s wellbeing, asking their companion Dot to send her through an entrance portal to Luke, her main mentor.
In any case, when she shows up, Clary accepts Luke has double-crossed her, prompting her to get back to her condo. At the point when she shows up, she observes her mom missing, and a tremendous Dot getting some information about a Mortal Cup.
Clary is saved by a fair kid from the club, who appears to know more about herself than she does. She gets together with a gathering of Shadowhunters, half-angel – half-human, to save her mom from the despicable Valentine Morgenstern, Clary’s dad, and finds powers she never realized she had.
Clary is tossed into the universe of evil spirit hunting with the secretive, self-centered, and alluring Shadowhunters Jace, Isabelle, and Alec and hauls her faithful and quirky companion Simon curious to see what happens.
