Story plot
The dark fantasy anime show Devils Line is based on vampires that dwell among the human race. There is one character named Yuuki Anzai, who is a blend of human and vampire traits. He is one of the members of Division 5, a secret police force that investigates crimes that are related to vampires in the city.
There comes a dramatic turn in the life of Yuuki when a college student (human) is saved from the attack of a vampire. He then takes the responsibility to be her guardian. Even though Yuuki is not a complete vampire since he is half-human also, still, he shows his vampire traits in having an urge for blood which is common with other vampires.
However, he has to abstain from sucking the blood of the human, due to a strict rule. It indeed seems challenging for Yuuki to stick to his rule in not consuming the blood of humans to avoid being a monster and creating trouble in the city. He even fakes his relationship with Tsukasa, the college student he saved from a vampire attack.
Briefing about two main characters
Yuuki Anzai
Yuuki Anzai is the male leading character of Devils Line. He is shown as a blend of human and vampire characteristics working for Division 5, a special force, as a shadowy police officer taking on the task of investigating the vampire-based crimes in the city and nabbing them for the crimes they have committed.
Even though he does not seem to be from a pure vampire blood race, still, he has an urge to have a taste of human blood and hates the vampire from inside. Yuuki is also doubtful about the vampires living with the human race and believes that such blending would pose a big danger to human society in the long run.
Coming to his personality, he appears as a strange figure surrounded by mystery. But being a police officer working for a special force Division 5, he stands for strong justice and is ready to help the ones in need. He even saves a girl from college from the attack of vampires. After that, he takes the onus to guard her. This brings a change in the life of Yuuki, who now even hates more of his hidden vampire traits. Soon Yuuki starts feeling a soft side for the girl named Tsukasa but is forced to test his bond with her in the light of his blended lineage.
Tsukasa Taira
Now comes another leading character (female) named Tsukasa Taira in the dark anime series Devils Line. She is in the first year of her college studying Geography and Humanities. There are no siblings of Tsukasa and is the only sole child of her parents. She was raised well during her childhood and grew up into a warmhearted doting young girl. She develops a romantic feeling for Yuuki after getting saved by him from a vampire attack. And when the show progresses, the love turns into a relationship between both protagonists.
Even though finding it difficult to get into a relationship with a person who is neither fully human nor a complete vampire, Tsukasa does not leave Yuuki and rather prefers to make things better with him. Coming to her personality she is loving and is also very kind. Her nature does not give room for any disparity between humans and vampires. She accepts both of them. Besides her cordial traits, Tsukasa can also get funny and sharp-witted.
