Her full name is Scarlett Ingrid Johansson. She was born in 1984 in Manhattan, New York. Karsten Olaf Johansson and Melanie Sloan are the parents of Scarlett (father and mother, respectively).

The father was an architect based in Copenhagen while the mother was a producer. Her acting career is believed to have been in her family as Ejner Johansson (grandfather) was a film director and a screenwriter. Furthermore, her elder sister Vanessa Johansson is an actress.

Ingrid’s grandmother Dorothy Sloan was a bookkeeper and a teacher.

Ingrid comes from different ethnic groups they include; Belarusian, Russian, Polish, Danish, and Swedish. At thirteen, Ingrid’s parents separated. In a family of five, she was the last born. Her elder siblings include; Vanessa Johansson, Hunter, and Adrian (Twins), and Christian (step-brother).

Scarlett went to Public School 41, found in Greenwich Village School in Manhattan. She used to love music while she was young and used to perform in front of her family. Moreover, she used to act looking at the mirror.

She then went ahead to act in The Horse Whisperer in 1998. This film also earned her a nomination for being the most promising actress by Chicago Film Critics Association. The following year Ingrid featured in My Brother the Pig, a fantasy comedy movie.

Other films she acted in include The Man Who Wasn’t There and Ghost World all in 2001. In the same year, she won her first award for being the best-supporting actress. The award was by Toronto Film Critics Association.

In 2002 she made an appearance in Eight Legged Freaks, a horror movie. She achieved all these while she was a teenager.

Now it was time for her to enter the adult scene. Her first film in the adult scene was the Lost in Translation and Girl with a Pearl Earring. This was in 2003. In the same year, she got a nomination for the best actress in a leading role by British Academy Film and Television Arts.

2004 was another excellent year for the young actress then. She made appearances in five films. They include; A good woman, the perfect score, a love song for bobby long, the SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Ren & Stimpy show.

In that year, Golden Globe-nominated her to be the best actress in the drama film ‘A Love Song for Bobby Long.’

From 2010 she began acting Marvel films. Her first movie in Marvel was Iron Man 2 as the Black Widow. Johansson then appeared in We Bought a Zoo, a film that also featured Matt Damon. Her next Marvel movie was The Avengers as Black Widow. That was in 2012.

The following are films under Marvel films consist of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Endgame, and Infinity War.

Currently, she has acted in Black Widow, a film that hasn’t been released.

Relationship Life

Her first love was Jack Antonoff. Their relationship lasted for a year from 2001 to 2002. Josh Hartnett was Ingrid’s next lover, and they separated for only two years. The reason for their separation was the lack of enough time together due to a tight schedule.

In 2007 Scarlett Johansson then began dating Ryan Reynolds. The two got engaged a year later and married. However, two years later, they parted ways before officially divorcing in 2011.

Scarlett then went ahead to date Romain Dauriac who they got engaged in 2012. Two years later, they got their first daughter called Dorothy Dauriac. After being blessed with a child, they then got married.

Again, Romain and Scarlett split in 2017. Currently, she is engaged to Colin Jost.
