However, the safest places to live in Houston are Kingwood, Sugar Land, Downtown Houston, Midtown, and Spring Branch. Let’s check out these safest neighborhoods in Houston, Texas. 

#1: Kingwood 

Kingwood is a place where the median price of a ready-to-buy house is $191,832. Whereas the rent of the house per month is $757. The reason why it is called the safest neighborhood in Houston is that the crime rate is 56% less than in other cities of Texas. However, when it comes to who should buy it… the answer remains the same – families and retired professionals. 

Kingwood comes as a surprise to many because what it offers is just too good! It has an amazing neighborhood which is not at all risky. In fact, it is extremely protected and safe. The reason why families and retired individuals want to make it their house is because it has good education institutes. Also, Kingwood is amidst a forest with long and shady trees. It is a closely knitted community. 

#2: Sugar Land

This is the second safest neighborhood in Houston. The median home price in Sugar Land is $83,472. However, the monthly median rent is $884. When it comes to the crime rate, it is 31% less than in other cities of Texas. Also, this place does justice to those who are single and aren’t married yet, families, professionals, and retirees. 

Sugar Land is in suburbs and isn’t much big. The size of this place along with other reasons makes this neighborhood safer than other cities in Texas. Schools and the arts community have a solid game here. Along with that, there are many activities for residents in the form of Splash Pad which is organized at River Park, Sugar Land Cowboys, etc. 

#3: Downtown Houston

Downtown Houston is another safer and cheaper place to live in Houston. The median cost of the house here is $63,900; however, the median monthly rent is $1,186. The crime rate in this neighborhood is 41% less and it is best for those who are singles, students, or young professionals. 

Downtown Houston is full of skyscrapers which makes it easy for tourists to roam about. Job opportunities Downtown is more than in other cities of Texas. Likewise, the safety and crime rates are 73% more in comparison to other neighborhoods. 

#4: Midtown

When it comes to Midtown in Houston, relocators and residents know it offers the safest neighborhood. Also, the median price of a house is $230,220; whereas the monthly rent is estimated at $1235. It is 59% more secure than other cities in the same country. It is affordable to live with a lot of bounties to enjoy. For example, art is pretty much everywhere, the train system is reasonable, job opportunities are massive, and it has amazing neighborhoods. 

If you want to know the ambiance and vibe before moving to Midtown. Then, you should know it has a beautiful urban vibe. 

#5: Spring Branch 

Last on the list is Spring Branch which is an estimated 35% safer place in Houston. The median price of a house is $215,498. However, when it comes to the monthly median rent it is $827. Spring Branch is typically meant for families as well as those who are retired. 

The natural beauty at Spring Branch is enticing and captivating. Healthcare is easily accessed and job openings are mostly present.
