The Originals was a spin of The Vampire Diaries, a popular drama series. It was categorized into three different genres horror, fantasy, and supernatural. The plot of The Originals
The plot of The Originals centers itself among three main actors who come from the same family(Mikaelson or the Originals family). They were Niklaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. This drama series begins where Niklaus and his siblings go back to the French Quarter of New Orleans ( a supernatural crucible) after leaving way back in 1919.
They were called the Originals because they were the first vampires to have existed. Klaus was a hybrid having come from a lineage of a witch and werewolf. The French Quarter of New Orleans is the town Klaus participated in its construction centuries ago before leaving. On his return, Niklaus reunites with his former diabolic apprentice Marcel Gerard. Marcel was the leader of the French Quarter of New Orleans after the absence of Klaus.
On their return, Haley, who was a werewolf and had gotten pregnant for Niklaus in the previous drama series (Vampire Diaries), is also a resident of New Orleans. After settling in the town, Niklaus planned to overthrow Marcel and become the leader. However, the only issue was to safeguard the city from becoming a warzone between werewolves, vampires, and witches.
With Hayley being pregnant for Klaus, tension started rising from the community as they saw the child as a danger on their territory. The child was eventually born. The Originals had to protect the child from the threats which they did so successfully. The child grew up, and at his teens, he joins a supernatural school for children. Later the Mikaelson family was under threat from the first-sired vampires who returned wanting revenge.

Return of The Originals Season 6, or is it Cancelled?
According to many, there should be a continuation of The Originals after the end of Season 5. But that will forever remain a wish as it concluded on April 18th, 2018. This drama series was airing on The CW.
Some fans thought it ended because anyone could predict the storyline, and its ratings had gone down. Julie Plec, the executive producer, made a revelation of the conclusion of The Originals on her Twitter account. She said, “It is both a gift and a burden to be able to control the ending of a series. Many shows are not lucky enough to have a handing in deciding when the end has come. Being able to celebrate the completion of The Vampire Diaries was a joyful and deeply emotional ride and a luxury. Ending the show is bittersweet, but it’s a true blessing to be part of its production.”
After the end of The Originals, a new spin-off whose story surrounds Hope Mikaelson was released on October 25th, 2018 airing on The CW. The fantasy drama Tv series is known as Legacies, and its creative director is Julie Plec. Currently, it has thirty-two episodes after two seasons.
