Scarlett Ingrid Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in Manhattan, NY, to parents Melanie Sloan and Karsten Johansson. She has four other siblings, a twin brother, Hunter, an older sister, Vanessa, an older brother, Adrian, and a half-brother, Christian.
She and Hunter attended PS 41 Elementary School in New York. In 2002, she began her training in theatrics when she went to the Professional Children’s School. A year after, she applied for the Tisch’s School of the Arts at New York University. Unfortunately, her application was rejected.
