Jason Gilardi: Early life
Jason’s childhood was an average one, Jason’s Dad was a Hollywood agent and his mom was none other than Annette Funicello’. Before Jason was known as a talented drummer he was known as Annette Funicello’s son. Annete was a popular actress at her time and many people expected Jason to follow in his mother’s footsteps and pursue acting.
Jason auditioned for the role of his mothers son in a movie called Back to the Beach. His character’s name was also Jason but surprisingly he didn’t land the role. This incident was funny as Jason failed to qualify as son to his own mother in movies, which probably disinterested him in the first place.
Jason’s Musical journey
Kason was always interested in music even as a child he recalls banging drumsticks on a patio and chairs. He got a drum set for himself when he was ten and self taught himself. When Jason reached 13 he started taking official drumming lessons and he started mastering his skills till he reached college.
Looking at Jason’s talents and interests his father pushed him to pursue college at Musicians Institute. Here Jason studied music and honed his skills and focused on his goals of becoming a professional drummer. It was in this Institute Jason met other musicians and they formed the band Caroline’s Spine.
Jason’s professional life
Jason decided to settle in Tulsa where his lead guitarist was from. They made music and practiced there and traveled to different tours all over the country from there. Caroline’s Spine band did a 150 shows a year and being in Tulsa made it easier for them to travel all over the country.
Caroline’s Spine signed up with ANZA records and released multiple albums with them and then moved on to a bigger music producing studio, Hollywood records. With Hollywood records backing them Jason and band released two national albums and even gave background music score to two movies. With their popularity on the rise they were asked to open for popular bands like Kiss and Aerosmith.
In 2000 the band decided to part ways and Jason stayed in Tulsa for a year relaxing and laying back for a year. To work towards his passion Jason started his own music Institute where he teaches drumming. Jason has students who just started talking and reiterated individuals.
Jason’s future endeavor
Apart from working as a drummer Jason also works towards spreading awareness of Multiple Sclerosis(MS). Jason’s mom suffered from this disease in her later stages of life. Jason has been working with two new bands at the moment, Dead Metal Society and Amped.

Jason Gilardi is leading a fulfilling life being a drummer in a popular band and living a happy life with a loving family. It seems like Jason has had it easy but Jason did take control of his life. He didn’t pursue acting which could’ve been an easy option with his mother being a popular actress and dad a Hollywood agent. Jason found his passion early on and worked towards them and made it a reality and very few people can claim doing that.
