Eyelash Lamination – Length, Volume, Lift

You have probably heard about lash lifts if you are even remotely interested in modern beauty trends. Providing lash lifts to your beauty clients may be something you are considering.

Learn all about the popular lash lift procedure and find out if it is right for your lash type in this comprehensive guide.

What exactly is a “Lash Lift”?

The eyelashes can be made to appear longer, curlier, thicker, and darker through a semi-permanent beauty treatment known as a lash lift. The lash treatment, also known as lash volume enhancing or LVL, gives a beautiful, natural look that opens up the eye and eliminates the need for eyelash curlers and mascara in the morning.

As a less time-consuming, low-maintenance, and less expensive alternative to eyelash extensions, lash lifts are quickly becoming a popular beauty treatment in their own right.

To achieve the desired lift and curl, a variety of lotions are applied, and the lashes are shaped against a rod using lash lift adhesive. Darker, glossier, and healthier lashes are the result of this procedure, which is why it is frequently paired with a nourishing treatment, lash tint, or both.

Applying Lash Plump, a leading nourishing treatment, after Lotion 1 allows the lash cuticles to be open and receptive to the treatment, making for the best possible results. The innovative Alternatively Flawless Keratin Tint combines a lash tint, cream developer, and keratin treatment into a single application, saving lash artists valuable time.

There are Various Lash Lifts Available

As your career as a lash artist progresses, you will undoubtedly come across many different names and/or versions of a lash lift. We will explain the similarities and differences to you.

LVL Lash Lift

LVL lash lifts, where LVL stands for “Length, Volume, and Lift,” are just one type of lash lift. You can get a lash lift without the tinting and conditioning that come with an LVL treatment, but you can get a basic lash lift.

For the most stunning and long-lasting lash lift results, however, we at Flawless insist that a keratin treatment be included. Our Lash Plump service or the revolutionary Keratin Tint, which feeds, colours, and develops in a single application, are both excellent options for this.

Home Lash Lift

People are eager to give these treatments a try, so you may have seen at-home lash lifting kits for sale on the internet. Do it yourself lash lifts are not advised, even if the person performing the procedure is a trained professional.

There is a real risk of causing serious damage due to the use of chemicals, and it is not just to your eyelashes. It is to your skin and your precious eyesight, too. Kits purchased online may not come from reliable or well-regulated vendors, heightening this safety concern.

When did you last check your lashes?

Depending on your individual eyelash growth cycle, a lash lift can last anywhere from 6-8 weeks. Avoid getting your newly lifted lashes wet for the first 24 hours, but unlike with eyelash extensions, no infills or salon appointments are required within this time period to maintain the look.

How long the lift lasts on your lashes is determined by the type of lashes you have, the condition of those lashes, and how well you take care of them. While lash lifts can be performed on any lashes, the results will last longer on those that are already strong and healthy. Avoid using waterproof mascara (regular mascara is fine) and any oil-based cosmetics or cleansers if you want your lash lift to last as long as possible.

What Is the Distinction Between Lash Lifting and Lash Laminating?

Lash lamination refers to a type of lash lift in which the natural lash is nourished with vitamins and keratin through a treatment like Lash Plump. You may also hear the term “lash perm” used interchangeably with “lash lift,” but at Flawless we do not like to use that one because it connotes an older, more chemical-intensive method.

It is suggested that you:

  • These silicone lift rods are soft and flexible, so they will not irritate your clients’ eyes.

  • Using our water-soluble adhesive, you can affix your eyelashes to the silicone lift rod.
  • Lashes can be lifted and separated with this handy tool.
  • Lotion One. Apply from the base of the lashes up to the tips; this will help Lotion Two penetrate more deeply into the hair shaft.
  • Lotion Two. Make your eyelashes more flexible.
  • Third Three. Eliminates all traces of glue and previous lotions
  • Flawless Lash Plump, also called lash botox and lash filler, is formulated with keratin, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and nourishing oils to improve the health, strength, and thickness of your natural lashes.
  • With just one pump of our ingenious bottle, you can apply tint, cream developer, and nourishing keratin treatment all at once with our Keratin Tint.

FAQ

Is It Better to Get a Lash Lift or Mascara?

A lash lift has many advantages over mascara and should be considered. A lash lift is the way to go if you want your eyelashes to look longer, curlier, and thicker without having to constantly apply mascara. The results are long-lasting enough to reduce your daily makeup routine in half. A lot less work than daily mascara application and removal. After 24 hours, a lash lift is completely water-resistant, making it a great option for a trip to the beach or the pool.

While the removal of mascara can be rough on your natural lashes, a lash lift combined with tinting and plumping can make them look healthier and glossier.

How Bout the Price for a Lash Lift?

The price of a lash lift can range from £25 to £70, depending on factors such as the location of your lash artist’s studio within the UK, the quality of the products used, and whether or not you opt for a nourishing treatment and/or tint.

After having my lashes lifted, will I be able to wear mascara?

A lash lift will not prevent you from using mascara. When you have had a lash lift treatment, you should not put any eye makeup on for at least 24 hours. You can, of course, still put on mascara for effect after this. But if you must wear mascara, skip the waterproof variety because it can only be removed with oil-based makeup removers, which you should also avoid using along with any other skin care or makeup products that contain oil.

Will My Eyelashes Fall Out If I Get Lash Lifts?

If you go to a trained technician, your eyelashes will not be harmed during the lash lift procedure. Wait at least 6 weeks in between treatments and always do as your eyelash artist suggests. If you get another facial treatment so soon after getting your lashes lifted, you risk damaging them and getting an infection.

Over processing or burning the natural lashes to the point where they start breaking can occur if performed by someone who does not know what they are doing. Therefore, it is imperative that you visit a qualified lash expert.

To What Extent Does It Hurt?

The procedure of lifting your eyelashes does not cause any discomfort. If you are getting lash extensions for the first time, the procedure may feel a little strange, but do not worry—your lash artist will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and confident in the process.

Can You Tell Me How Often I Should Get My Lashes Tweaked?

Getting a lash lift done every six to eight weeks is recommended to keep the style looking fresh. In about three weeks, the curl will have diminished due to the gradual loss of eyelashes that occurs to everyone on a daily basis. Within 6-8 weeks, you should have an entirely new set of lashes, at which point you can have them curled by a professional once more. However, everyone has a slightly different lash growth cycle.
