Dopesick Nation (also known as “American Relapse” or “American Junkie”) focuses on two recovering addicts in southern Florida. The series unveils the deception and manipulation inside the rehab industry. As the two pursued their advocacy, they came across Delray Beach, America’s recovery capital.
As the two embarked on their advocacy to help suffering drug addicts get the best rehab facility, Frankie and Allie focused on the uncontrolled opioid crisis in Florida. Known as the rehab capital of America, Florida has now become the center of relapse of recovering drug addicts. Its rehabilitation facility is crowded with many drug addicts who sought recovery but were unsuccessful.
The corruption inside the insurance industries withheld the resources for rehabilitation in suffering drug addicts. Over billions of dollars for rehabilitation are not properly allocated to the proper recipients, lest spending it for supposed-rehab facilities was not materialized.
