Is removing your makeup part of your nightly skincare routine? If it’s not, it should be. When you remove your makeup, make sure that you know what towels work best for makeup removal and which ones to avoid. You can purchase your makeup removal towels from a wholesale bath and beauty store to get a quality product at an affordable price.

Why Makeup Removal Is Important

Proper makeup removal needs to be incorporated into your skincare routine. If you don’t remove your makeup before you go to bed, then you run the risk of clogging your pores and increasing blemishes. It is also possible that leaving your makeup on overnight will dull the appearance of your skin and even make your eyes look puffy.

Removing your makeup every night may also help reduce the risk of premature aging. When you remove your makeup you should use the following items:

  • Quality face cleanser
  • Makeup remover for waterproof or difficult-to-remove makeup
  • A soft towel that won’t damage your skin during cleaning and drying

Which Makeup Removal Towels Work Best?

Always check the tag when you are searching for the best makeup removal towel. The tag will tell you what material the towel is made from. The best towel materials for removing makeup are microfiber, cotton, and muslin.

Microfiber Towels

There are many specialty makeup removal towels on the market. What makes these towels so special? Specialty makeup towels are microfiber and come in a variety of shapes and colors.

These towels are beneficial because they can remove your makeup without the need for oil-based makeup removers or cleansers. Your face won’t be exposed to unnecessary oil. You will be able to eliminate the need for a liquid makeup remover. Easily take off your makeup by adding warm water to the towel and gently wiping your face.

Cotton Towels and Rounds

Cotton balls and cotton rounds are commonly used for makeup removal. Reusable cotton rounds and soft cotton towels are replacing disposable options. Cotton towels, rounds, and balls are not only eco-friendly but they are quite gentle on your face.

Cotton towels are great for drying your face. For true makeup removal, use your reusable cotton round with makeup remover and warm water. Reusable cotton is perfect for eye makeup removal and it is also great for applying toner.

Muslin Towels

A muslin towel is made from gently woven cotton. These towels come in a variety of different thicknesses. Their weave can be loose or thick. Muslin towels for makeup removal are lightweight. They gently exfoliate dead skin cells without damaging your skin.

You can place a thin, warm muslin towel over your face to open your pores and reduce your risk of blemishes. Use these towels together with your favorite cleanser to remove your makeup and clean your face at the same time.

Makeup Removal Towels to Avoid

There are some towels that work great for some tasks, but you should do your best to avoid using them for makeup removal. Do not use paper towels, terry cloth towels, or your bath towel for makeup removal.

Never Use Paper Towels

Paper towels are rough and can scratch your skin. They are also difficult to use when cleansing your face because they are not durable. Paper towels fall apart when they have absorbed too much water. Do your best to never use paper towels to remove your makeup.

Avoid Terry Cloth Towels

Common bathroom towels, like hand towels and washcloths made from terry cloth, shouldn’t be used for makeup removal. While terry cloths are softer and more durable than paper towels, they should still be avoided if at all possible.

Terry cloth towels can scratch the delicate skin on your face and cause over-exfoliation. Rough towels can rob your skin of the beneficial oils it needs. Towels made with terry cloth are simply too abrasive to be used as a long-term makeup removal towel.

Skip Using Your Bath Towel

You should skip using a bath towel for makeup removal altogether. Your bath towel contains germs and bacteria that can be harmful when transferred from your body to your face.

Use a Wholesale Bath and Beauty Vendor to Buy Makeup Removal Towels

Now you know which towels you should use for makeup removal and which towels should be avoided. Do you know the best place to buy your makeup removal towels? When you go to purchase your makeup removal towels then you should always buy from a wholesale bath and beauty vendor.

When you buy from a wholesaler, you will be able to save money when you purchase your towels in bulk. Additionally, you won’t run the risk of ruining your hand towels and bath towels. You won’t be tempted to remove your makeup with other towels if you have designated makeup removal towels readily available.
