And he was a catcher during his early playing days. During his college, he played for two years at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, also at Virginia where he was a member of the 1991 ACC Baseball Tournament.
He got a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Virginia. Side by side he also earned a master degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Florida Atlantic University.
