While some people use vaping as a means to quit smoking, a lot of people see vaping as a lifestyle and hobby. The vaping world is big, so there’s often an extensive learning process when you first start to vape.
Check out these hacks and tips to help give you the best vaping experience possible.
Always have hand sanitizer
This will be an easy habit to get into after two years of a global pandemic, and perhaps you do this already, but it’s also an awesome hack for vapers.
Sometimes you will get your ruthless liquid vape juice on your hands when refilling, which can be annoying because it can feel sticky on your fingers. If you’re out and about and can’t wash your hands, a dash of sanitizer cuts through the oils and essentially cleans your hands. Best of both worlds!
Get organized
Depending on your vaping device and kit, you might end up having various wires and little bits to keep track of. To avoid losing them, it’s a good idea to find a small bag you can keep them in.
A bag with pockets or compartments is best, but even a basic cosmetic bag will do the job. Getting organized means your vaping gear can go everywhere with you without worrying about leaving something behind.
Avoid chain vaping
Easier said than done, especially when you’re excited by your new kit or feeling the nicotine cravings, but there are many downsides to doing this.
Firstly, you will burn through your coils faster, which will end up costing you more money. Secondly, you can end up experiencing dry hits, which can be quite unpleasant. Thirdly, you can cause damage to your device by not taking breaks and allowing it to cool down, which again can end up costing you unnecessary money.
Vapers suggest you let your wicks saturate for about 15 to 30 seconds between puffs. It’s also important to wait 10 minutes after refilling your device to allow the wicks to soak and avoid causing damage to your device or getting a dry hit. Thirty seconds can feel like a long time, so if you struggle, buy some vape juice with a higher nicotine level. This will hopefully reduce your need to take another hit before 30 seconds.
Batteries are your best friend
This one depends again on the type of device you have, but always keep extra batteries with you when out and about. If your device runs out of charge, it means you won’t be left to suffer through cravings all day and even risk buying a pack of cigarettes.
Experiment with juice flavors
The dreaded ‘vaper’s tongue’- when you can’t taste your vape juice anymore, a warning sign your taste buds need a break. This isn’t a severe issue; it’s more an annoyance that lasts a few days. One way to combat this is to make sure you try different flavors now and again.
Don’t charge your vape overnight
There are many reasons for this other than a potential fire hazard. Charging all night can actually wear out your device’s battery and even destroy the device if done over a long period. It’s best to leave it in a safe place while you sleep and charge during the day before heading out to work or your day’s plans.
